The Project:
Imagine that time and money are not an issue and you can go anywhere in the world. Where do you want to explore? What sort of adventures will you embark on? What do you hope to gain from your experiences?
You will be creating a 2-3 page research paper and a 5-7 minute presentation about your dream vacation destination.

Research Paper
The purpose of your paper is to inform the reader about you dream vacation destination, however it is also likely that you will persuade the reader to also want to visit your destination. Your tone should be formal and authoritative.
Before beginning The Big 6 method of research, create a list of 8-10 questions about your destination that you intend to explore while conducting your research. These questions should be balanced throughout the following subtopics:

You will use a number of resources to conduct your research. This website has been created to assist you with finding information. You can explore databases, websites, magazine articles, and see suggested NDHS library materials. Keep track of all sources used in order to cite them properly. To help you stay organized a note-taking graphic organizer is available under the "Research Tools" tab.
Your paper must be 2-3 typed pages, include an additional "Works Cited" page, and follow all MLA guidelines, which can be accessed under the "Research Tools" tab.

Presentation
Your presentation can be created using PowerPoint, Prezi, Google Slides, or any other supportive presentation program that you feel comfortable using. You will present words and images to the class explaining:
Your presentation must include a minimum of one map. You may select any number of supplementary images and/or videos to enhance your presentation, but remember your presentation must be clear to the entire audience. "Busy" slides can be distracting. Keep your presentation simple and informative.
You must include a Works Cited slide to give credit to all sources used for research and for all images, maps, and videos used in your presentation. Use MLA 8 format.
